. Christopher Robinson, a registered petroleum landman and David Copley, a certified

Ardent operates or owns interest in over
300 wells in the Appalachian Basin, controls over 200,000 gross acres within the basin. The company will drill some 80 -100 development and exploratory wells this year (2008/2009).
Corporate emphasis has been (and will continue to be) on exploration for, and development of, oil and natural gas within the Appalachian Basin.
Current plays in the basin include the Cambrian Theresa Sandstone, the Ordovician Trenton-Black River
Limestones/Utica Shale, and the Devonian Marcellus Shale/Oriskany Sandstone in New York State, the Upper Devonian Sandstones, Siltstones and Shales in Pennsylvania, the Cambro-Ordovician Rose Run
Sandstone-Beekmantown Dolomites in Ohio, and the Devonian Marcellus Shale/Oriskany Sandstone in Wva.

While the Appalachian Basin is the birthplace of the petroleum industry in North America it was quickly eclipsed by
more productive basins elsewhere in North America and for many years has remained under explored and marginally
productive. In the last ten years that has changed because production is on the rise from several new plays, and
today the Appalachian Basin is considered one of the premier basins in North America, with huge upside potential for natural gas reserves.
Ardent Resources, Inc. has been active in the Appalachian Basin for 20 years and is well positioned to profit from the
renewed interest in the Basin because of it's operations here, it's geological and engineering expertise in both
conventional and unconventional plays and it's extensive freehold acreage positions throughout the basin.
